What GM of a big market team decides that unloading all but 7 guys from a World Series team within 2 years is an upgrade? Especially when four of those seven luminaries are Armando Benitez, Rey Ordonez, Jay Payton and Joe McEwing? In case you forgot, Steve Phillips is an idiot.

Now will ESPN please ban him from announcing Mets games. We don’t need reminders of his incompetence as we see our team. (Especially lately – they’re bumbling like the Mets from idiot’s last days as GM.)

  2. Gilbert Says:

I really don’t understand why ESPN has Phillips doing Mets games. They have to know that a good portion of the people watching that game would be Mets fans, and Mets fans really don’t like Steve Phillips.

  3. Noah Says:

ESPN is anti Mets? Maybe idiot wants to stick it to his former team by announcing their games, and ESPN just kinda says OK?
