Could Kansas be the next Auburn?

Right now, 10-0 Kansas is behind LSU and Oregon in the BCS standings.

Given that the voters usually treat the rankings like a ladder system, would they move up a Kansas team that finishes the season undefeated in their final polls, or would they leave them behind one-loss LSU and Oregon?

I’m not here to argue that Kansas is better or worse than LSU or Oregon. I’m here to argue that you really can’t compare these teams precisely. They play in different conferences, against different teams, how do we really know which team is better?
