Kansas beat Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl, meaning they finish the season with only one loss.

If LSU beats Ohio State, Kansas would be the only team left from a BCS conference with only one loss.

I’m not saying Kansas should be the national champion under that scenario. I’m just pointing out the facts — and without a playoff system, this is the kind of thing we’ll always under wonder about.

As much I love college football, I hate this aspect of it, so much so that I have watched as few bowl games as possible.

At least college basketball is finally in a good part of the season, as in the game of the night, UCLA won at Stanford in an intense, well-played, impressive, physical game. It’ll be fun to see more of that in the next few months.

    Thanks for the link!

I would say no, they shouldn’t be national champions. Let’s keep this in mind, VT was demolished by LSU and I don’t see voters ever forgetting that game (as far as 2007 is concerned).

The Jayhawks should be a top 4 or 5 team, that’s for sure.
