5189_brass_bucket_1.jpgNew UCLA football coach Rick Neuheisel once again came on the Dan Patrick show, his first appearance since he coined the term “passion bucket”, which Dan of course, has blown up and tried to make trendy. (Listen to the interview by clicking here and then clicking on “Interviews”)

Neuheisel got the idea to shorten “passion bucket” to just “PB”, which I like, because it’s shorter. Dan asked about Pete Carroll’s passion bucket, which Neuheisel said is bigger now, but only “temporarily” and “we’re catching up.”

Dan also pressed Neuheisel on if he was trying to hire Norm Chow as his offensive coordinator, and Neuheisel wouldn’t bite, instead saying multiple times he’s trying to hire coaches “like Norm Chow.” Chow coming to UCLA would be great. I objected to him being the head coach (because he has no head coaching experience), but Chow has proven himself as one of the best collegiate offensive coordinators in the country.
