A good, comeback win for UCLA

February 24, 2008

westbrook.jpgFor a good chunk of the second half, I thought UCLA was going to lose. The Bruins were losing for most of the game, their shots weren’t falling, the usual defensive dominance wasn’t there — this game looked eerily familiar to the Washington and USC losses.

But the Bruins didn’t let that happen this time, winning 75-65 over Oregon.

They re-grouped and went on a run to take the lead and never let it go again, sparked by Darren Collison, Kevin Love and Russell Westbrook.

In other college basketball news, #5 Kansas was upset by Oklahoma State. It’s upsets like those that make me not worry to much about UCLA’s seeding come tournament time. If the Bruins keep winning, everything else will work itself out. (I wasn’t the first to have that realization).
